For those who were there, the first annual Burton Stash Gathering contest proved to be no bust. All day there was a consensus psych among all participating parties and those of us that were just lurking. This event will likely become a season highlight in future years.

There was a solid all around effort from riders to park and pipe members all day. A big thanks goes out to Margaret Krantz, Jeff Boliba, Ranyon D’Arge, and DJ Cut La What.

On this day, it could have been the purple beanie gathering instead of the stash gathering.

Watchout for hikers and droppers at all times.

Mikey Marohn was blasting all day to his first place finish. This alleyoop 360 was the trick of the day in my book.

The North Face Masters concluded yesterday with another strong showing from riders out of Jackson. On this day in Jackson, Ranyon D’Arge and some of us from the Park and Pipe hit the Cascade to meet Jeff Boliba from Burton Snowboards for some high fives and banter. While drinking my first margarita in the Cascade restaurant, Ranyon D’Arge received a text from Mikey Marohn saying he finished 8th and received the Young Gun award. A cheers ensued and further solidified Mikey’s street cred. In these first two years of competition a Jackson rider has walked with this award. (Alex Yoder – 2010) See you at Kirkwood.
